Pacific Islands Screen Artists (PISA) is an incorporated society established in 2020, that supports, encourages and promotes individuals of Pacific Islands heritage working in the New Zealand Screen sectors at all stages of their journey. Founded by five experienced Pacific Islands screen artists to address the absence of a Pacific Islands voice at an industry level and to provide advocacy, professional development and a Pacific Islands approach both in production and community. A strong focus on people within a supportive community will lead to more Pacific Islands stories on screen.
